Losta of the $$?
Hurray!... tis the third day of where Leggy is the celebrity-of-my-blog! *APPLAUSE!* And I'm proud to announce I have watched "Lord of the Rings: Return of the King" 3 times in one week!! Wow! Although I'm kinda sick of the movie now, I'm definitely not sick of Leggy's scenes/stunts... more more! haha!
Yah yah... I can't hear you guys saying, "wah! you got lotsa of the $$ (pun intended) ar? watch 3 times?!" Frankly speaking, I dunno why I'm so crazy bout this show out of the sudden. Maybe it the thought of seeing what has been written in the books been brought to life, I guess. Although certain parts of the story been altered or removed, I must say Peter Jackson did a pretty impressive job of re-telling the story. It must not be easy to make a movie, let alone re-create scenes from a much beloved literature and risking the wrath of the Tolkien purists who disapproved to the changes in the story in the movies. For that, I do hope that Peter Jackson wins the Best Director award for next year's Oscars.
Actually, my favourite character in the book was Gandalf, the good 'ol wizard. But after the movies came out, my heart went to Legolas aka Orlando Bloom. Yes... the lust of a scandalous woman (me lor! haha!). I think I've got an obsession with guys who are sharp shooters (ooi! dun think dirty hor!). My last movie character/actor obssesion was with Barry Pepper who acted as the sniper, Daniel Jackson in "Saving Private Ryan". And likewise, I watched the movie 3 times despite the full 15 mins of gory scenes in the beginning of the show. But alas, Mr Pepper has faded in oblivion without much news. But I remembered the days where Fang n I would 'fight' over Mr Pepper, singing "The Boy is Mine"... and nowadays, we "fight" over Legolas... *sigh! some ppl dun change... rolls eyes*

My lousy day...
Shit! As if things can't get any worse, another system in my lab has broken down! And I had spent 3 friggin hours trying to troubleshoot it, but without avail. Kept calling Eric for help... so paiseh...Am beginning to doubt my skills, or rather the lack of it. Great, now I have 2 out 5 systems down, so which one is the next to go? Wah lao! Everyone go on holiday lar, dun do experiments lar... sianz! And then there's the stupid monthly report to complete... ARRRGGGGHHH!

Back to the Future...
Renovations aside, thot I'll update 'fans' of this blog (guess there's only Fang, Le and Hen) on the events that had occured in these past few weeks...
1st Dec, Mon
Start of my boring block leave. Was "forced" to clear all my leave (15 days!!) within this month to mid-Jan. Think I would be the 1st person in the world to complain about taking leave. Dun get me wrong here, I do intend to take leave but not when I have to clear ALL of them within less than 2 months.
I was kinda pissed at my HR for being inflexible in a sense that I wasn't able to pro-rate my leave to then next financial year. But what really pissed me off is that I was told initially that I was able to bring forward my remaining leave days after the training. However, at the end of the training, we were told otherwise. Wat the fish! Within such short period of notice, I can't even plan for an overseas trip properly, let alone to find anyone to accompany me on the trip. In fact I wanted to forfeit my leave as I could have spent more contructive time in the office learning more things from my boss whose gonna leave soon... sheesh!
Well, 'nuff said, I spent the 1st day of my block leave at home. Yep, it was dead boring but I had a good rest. Haven't had much of a breather since my ex-supervisor left... Hectic work in the lab aside, it was kinda relaxing hanging around at home doing nothing much but surfing the net, reflecting on my life(yeah, rite!) and teasing my poor hamster.
<2nd Dec, Tues
Had lunch with Dun and Fang before heading to Suntec for the CIA exhibition. Felt real good to meet them after a long time... haven't spoke to Dun since that time... heard that the jerk is back... hope he doesn't ruin Dun X'mas... grrr...
After lunch, I went to the CIA exhibition at Suntec City convention halls. Yep, one of those halls where I used to take my NUS exams. Ah! Such reminiscences! *pukes!*
